Obituary For Wayne Alan Stolt

Wayne Stolt of Dearborn Heights, passed into the arms of His Savior on his 57th birthday. He was born to John and Darlene Stolt in Pontiac, Michigan. His mother and older brother both died of the same disease within six months of each other. His dad then married Nancy and was adopted by her. They had three other sons: Rich (Lori), Jim (Karyn) and Jerry Stolt.

Wayne is the beloved husband of Patricia Stolt, father of Maria Camilla and Camilla Maria, grandfather of Maximiliano, uncle of Jacob, Sarah, Sierra, Silas and Scarlett.

He was dearly loved at Riverview High School as the Culinary Arts / Hospitality teacher for 25 years. He was a chef at multiple restaurants, banquet halls and catering events. He was an avid reader and became the author of two published Christian novels. He was a member of Roca Eterna Detroit, involved in evangelism to Muslims with Advance Ministries , mission trips, Bible Studies, and Men's Prayer Breakfasts, He loved to be active, working out at the gym and being outdoors kayaking and bicycling. He was an incredibly generous person, helping many people.

First and foremost, he loved the Lord and loved to tell others about Him. One of his favorite Bible verse was Proverbs 16:3 “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”

Visitation is Friday, May 5 from 1-8 at Fisher Funeral Home.

The funeral is Saturday, May 7 with visitation from 9-10 and the service at 10 at Covenant Community Church in Redford. The burial service will follow but it will be for the family only. A meal will follow that at the church.

Wayne I just wanted to say thank you for being an example to me of a true father figure and friend. I will miss our Bible study all the bike rides we took and trips to the lake and our deep conversations about life and GOD. Wayne I'm sorry I couldn't be there but I am grateful Maximiliano had an example of a man like you in his life. I know that your in perfect glory with our LORD AND KING NOW. My heart aches I will never share another bike ride another Bible study another cook out with you again but I know one day we in glory I will see you brother till that day thank you Wayne for being who you were. "Verily, verily I say unto you, the hour is coming and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and they that hear shall live. John5:25 Juan 5:25 Reina-Valera 1960 25 De cierto, de cierto os digo: Viene la hora, y ahora es, cuando los muertos oirán la voz del Hijo de Dios; y los que la oyeren vivirán.

The impact Wayne had in my life cannot be overstated. When I think about the people who guided me through adolescence and truly inspired me, he's at the top of the list. I haven't spoken to him in a couple years, but I kept up with his activities regularly, and this news devastated me. I thought he would be around forever enriching the lives of everyone he spoke to, he fostered an environment that I can credit with creating my lifelong love of cooking. When I have that warm feeling of satisfaction when I create a dish that really impresses someone, I think about the encouragement he showed in his classroom and the look in his eyes when he talked about food. I'm a better person for knowing him, thank you Wayne. Jordan (2013-2015 student)
