Tonie LaShawn Webb
Tonie Webb was born on June 21, 1965, in Detroit, Michigan, to Veattea Webb and Edwin Brooks. Tonie attended Central High School in Detroit and graduated in 1984. In later years, Tonie continued a commitment to learning by attending Macomb Community College, where she earned a Certificate of Completion for Medical Billing and Coding. With a strong passion for customer service, Tonie demonstrated dedication and an exceptional work ethic that led to many professional opportunities, including positions with Blue Cross Blue Shield and Home Depot.
A devoted mother, daughter, and sister, Tonie’s love formed the foundation of a family bound by deep respect and care. Tonie was a treasured presence, admired for her radiant smile and love for fashion that reflected her confidence and style. She brought warmth, love, and joy to all who were fortunate enough to know her. A fearless, dedicated individual, Tonie inspired those around her to strive for greatness. As a loving grandmother and auntie, Tonie’s compassion, guidance, and support extended far beyond measure and will be treasured forever. Her children and grandchildren were her entire world, and Tonie shared a special, unique bond with each of them, as well as with nieces and nephews who felt that same deep affection—connections that will forever remain unbreakable.
Tonie was a devoted woman of faith who loved the Lord deeply and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Her relationship with Christ guided her life, and she found peace, and purpose in her devotion. She carried her faith with grace, and it was reflected in the kindness and love she showed to others. Tonie’s spirit, strength, and unwavering faith will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Tonie loved all family and friends dearly and went home to be with the Lord on March 20, 2026. Tonie was preceded in death by father, Edwin Brooks, and is survived by loving mother, Veattea Webb. She leaves to cherish her memory by her six sons, Yasin (Dorian) McKay (Adriana), Erik Webb, Edmund Campbell‑Webb (Stephanie), Jazmon Campbell‑Webb, Torin Maddox, and Tonieo Maddox, siblings Marie Landers (Reginald Sr.), Dahlia Dickson, and Edwin Bates Jr., thirteen grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
Your life brought light to those around you, and your memory will forever be cherished. You are deeply loved and endlessly missed.
