For those who were sad at not getting prior notice of my Dad's passing, please be aware of a few things: 1. My Dad's death was quite and still a shock to my family. 2. My Dad helped so many people, that it was sadly impossible to know, be aware of how to contact anyone. 3. Sadly and very hard was for us to respect adamant wishes for him to not have a funeral for him. Cheri

I'm upset that I didn't get find out about Roger's passing until awhile after. He was a very adventurous man and always told me his/our bodies are our temples and to always take care of them, well he did because he lived a long, happy, full filling life!! He loved his motorcycle and would travel the world on it, if he could! He was very generous and would give you the shirt off his back, if he needed too. He volunteered for the Salvation Army as much as he could! He cared more about other people than himself! I wish I could of said goodbye, you were such a great friend!!🥰 -Paulina Valley

Roger was a true friend. If you were ever in trouble or needed help Roger would be there for you. He always said, "To have a friend, you must be a friend." I only wish I would've had more time to be a friend to him, and pay him back for all the times he helped me. I will always remember his outrageous style (rattlesnake earrings!) and colorful sense of humor. He is a man who wanted to live a good and honest life, and I will always remember him for that. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. - Meghan Farr

Roger always came to every occassion that he was invited to. He was always able to find someone that he didnt know and converse with them both young and old. He was the kind of man that you wanted to know and was always kind in his words! He was a good friend to Archie Archutowski and continued to be a good friend to Archies daughter and My wife Sandy. The last time he came over to our house he presented both my wife and our daughter with Necklaces from Petosky! He will be well missed in our lifes. His last letter to us was August 2021 to let us know that he would be unable to attend our Annual BBQ for family and friends. When we didnt get a Christmas card from him we feared the worst. Our condolences to his family.....he always talked highly of you all!

I remember the first time Imy husband and I met Roger. He was very talkative and polite. He seemed to need a friend. If I am correct, he really liked motorcycles! It can be very hard to lose a parent, so I pray for this family, that our Loving Heavenly Father, fills up the void in your hearts with His perfect Love, that passes our human understanding. Love and God bless you all! Our deepest heartfelt compassion and prayers. Love, Therese& Tom Maynard

My Dad used to dress up as Santa Claus to pass our presents every Christmas. This included making us go to midnight service on Christmas Eve night and going on the roof. One Christmas my sister pulled down his beard and said "hi daddy". My Dad then told us he was Santa Claus of the South Pole and there are two Santa clauses. Cheri
