Robert was born in Detroit on November 20, 1952. He passed away peacefully in his Redford Home on the evening of March 25, 2024, surrounded by his family and Dog. Leaving this life to go to Eternal life and be at peace. He leaves us with a world of Love, compassion, and immeasurable wisdom.
Married to his wife Roz for forty-six wonderful years, he was able to celebrate three years of wonderful experiences and see his first Grandson here. Bob enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles, cars, and trucks. By trade he became a Union Pipefitter Local 636 after service in the Military as a Navy Engineman on USS Kretchmer. He enjoyed volunteering his time for Heat’s On Water’s Off, at church, and helping out anyone that was in need. Also enjoying tinkering by fixing things. Using his hands, he liked to keep busy. Or walk someone through fixing a job. He was the person to call if you were stuck and needed help!
Robert is survived by his loving wife Rosalyn, Daughter Beth (companion Keith Hunt), Grandson Kenneth Robert, Beloved Late Son Aaron Robert, Son of the Late Richard Simon Sr. and Ruth E. Tourangeau, the late Isadore and Mary Jaffe, Sister of Sandy the Late Ronald Beyer, Sister of Laura Morrow, and Brother of the Late Richard Simon Jr., also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be planned for this summer. Details will be shared with friends and family at a later date.
Robert Kenneth Simon will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of those he touched. May he rest in eternal peace.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Beaumont Hospice in Robert’s honor, continuing to make loved ones comfortable as an option of their choice. As they did our loving husband, father, and grandfather. https://foundation.beaumont.org/
