Obituary For Robert Bruce Kleckley

Today we gather to celebrate the life of Robert Bruce Kleckley, who passed away on June 12, 2026, at the age of 84. While his passing brings deep sorrow, we take comfort in honoring a life filled with love, family, and lasting memories.

Born on February 13, 1942, Robert was the beloved son of Thomas Kleckley and Hattie Kleckley. He was raised in a close-knit family and carried those bonds with him throughout his life.

Robert was a devoted father who took great pride in his children, Cherese Kleckley and Brandon Kleckley. His children were central to his life, and he remained a steady source of love, guidance, and support to them both.

In 1966, Robert married Veronica, a proud graduate of Northeastern High School. Their union marked an important chapter in his life, built on family, commitment, and shared memories.

Robert built a strong work ethic throughout his life and eventually retired from Chrysler, where he dedicated many years of service. His career reflected his commitment, discipline, and pride in providing for his family.

He was preceded in death by his siblings Samuel, Herbert, Francis, Elaine, Audrey, and Gloria, and is lovingly remembered by his only living sibling, Vernita Walker. Though many of his brothers and sisters passed before him, the strong family bonds they shared remain a lasting part of his legacy.

Robert had a curious and creative spirit. He was an avid reader who loved getting lost in books, always drawn to stories that expanded the imagination. He also enjoyed cooking and found joy in preparing meals, especially when shared with family and friends.

His love of movies was another important part of his life. Robert especially enjoyed horror and science fiction films, appreciating their creativity, suspense, and storytelling. These films brought him comfort and enjoyment throughout his life.

Those who knew Robert will remember his quiet strength, thoughtful nature, and the warmth he brought to those around him. He valued family deeply and leaves behind a legacy of love and connection that will continue through generations.

As we reflect on Robert’s life, we celebrate not only the years he lived, but the lives he touched and the memories he created. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
