Regina Theresa Lawson was born to the love of doting parents the late Bernice and Clifford Baldwin Sr. on May 19, 1949 in Detroit, MI. She was the oldest of 7 children. Regina was a graduating alumni of Northwestern High School

Regina lived a life of service beginning with her time as a Department Clerk at Sinai Grace Hospital and A Healing Massage Therapist. Regina was an extreme activist in her community; politically working side by side with the Detroit City Council, environmentally, and socially for humanity. She belonged to many community organizations, where she was better known as " Ravin" or "Mama Ravin" and to her name she held an abundance of awards and accolades. Putting love and work into her community was a passion, spreading her wisdom of herbs, holistic living and a healthier lifestyle to the masses.

Not only did Ravin love her community, she enjoyed being a trailblazer in the Detroit plus-size modeling world, organic gardening, spreading love during the "chat and chew events, Trips to her “second home” The Caribbean, participating in events that promoted African and Caribbean culture. She had an incredible sense of fashion, walked into any room showcasing “style and grace” Regina was definitely a showstopper, which speaks to her days as a model.

On November 15, 2024 Regina was united with her ancestral family. She leaves to cherish her love and memories her only child: Sheri "Reesi" Ligon, 3 Grandchildren: Amber Robinson, Dareous Hutchinson, and Kyla Hutchinson, 5 Siblings: Belinda Shaw, Lorna Logan, Clifford Baldwin Jr., Sheila Blake, Noah Baldwin Sr., and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
