Obituary For Raymond Dean Havlena

Raymond Dean Havlena, 80, of Dearborn Heights MI, passed away on February 2, 2023 with family by h Raymond Dean Havlena, 80, of Dearborn Heights MI, passed away on February 2, 2023 with family by his side and his loving wife of 54 years, Darlene Grace Havlena, holding his hand.

Raymond was a former Marine who lived to spend time with his beloved wife, family, friends and neighbors as both he and Darlene opened their home to all providing a gathering space to share friendship, laughter and love. Their open-door policy made it so that everyone felt welcomed to stop by day or night to enjoy their pool, an impromptu meal or a game of Phase 10.

And if you did stop by, chances are the TV would be playing Everybody Loves Raymond (loudly), which is fitting, since everybody who knew our Raymond loved him.

From a young age until the day he retired, Raymond dedicated his life to providing excellent service to his customers and undying loyalty to his employees at Telegraph and Warren Shell.

He leaves behind his beautiful wife, Darlene and three children, Michael (Kathy) Havlena,Teri (Mike) Templeton, and Robert (Elizabeth) Havlena. His sister, Debbie (Robert) Stoltman, 5 loving grandchildren Crysti (Travis) Clanton, Brittany (Timothy) Milders, Ian (Vanessa) Templeton, Nathan and Joshua Havlena, and 3 doting great grandchildren Ayden, Abagail, and Ellie Milders.

He also leaves behind all of those he loved and loved him back…sorry we couldn’t list all of you, but we wanted to use this space to talk about Ray.

He will be sorely missed. But he will live forever in the hearts of anyone who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on February 24 at Divine Child in Dearborn, MI with a gathering/greeting being held in the vestibule at 9:30 a.m. A luncheon will take place immediately following the service at DeLuca’s located at Warren Rd and Inkster.
