Obituary For R. Kevin Werner

Werner,

R. Kevin, age 59, passed suddenly at his Southfield home, Friday, October 27th, 2023. Beloved son of Delores “Dee” J. & the late Ronald E. Werner. Dear nephew of Terry (Kristie) Scates. Long time associate of over 30 years of the American Concrete Institute of Farmington Hills. A longtime member of The Detroit Theater Organ Society, also known as The Senate Theater of Detroit, Michigan, long time member of The Motor City Theater Organ Society, the Redford Theater and the American Theater Organ Society. Kevin was an avid master gardener and active volunteer and Secretary of the board of Directors at the “DTOS”. A memorial service is planned for Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Huntington Woods Lutheran Church, 12935 W. Eleven Mile Road, Huntington Woods. Donations suggested to The Senate Theater or Huntington Woods Lutheran Church, gathering time from 10 am until time of memorial at 11 am.

    Kevin, my friend, you will be greatly missed. We've been friends since we were kids and our Dad's would take us to the Royal Oak theater on Sunday mornings to work on the organ, and play the organ. I know that you were well loved at your day job as well as the Senate Theater. Things will not be the same without you.
