Obituary For Patricia Ann Sabourin

Patricia Sabourin, lovingly known as Pat or Patty, was born on August 18, 1945, and lived her life with a bright, generous spirit that touched everyone around her. She had a remarkable zest for life — a deep love for people, music, and God — and she carried a warmth that made others feel welcomed, understood, and cared for. Her heart was big, her humor easy, and her faith unwavering.

On May 14, 2026, Pat joined her parents, her two brothers, and her granddaughter after fighting with strength, courage, and grace. Even in her hardest moments, she remained resilient and surrounded by love.

Pat’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her three daughters: Kathleen Nawrocki (David Robertson), Kimberly Bredin, and Michelle Nawrocki (Dave Sieszputowski).

Pat also leaves behind her former husband and life long friend, Paul Nawrocki, with whom she shared many meaningful years, countless memories, and the beautiful family they built together.

She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Megan Dakin (Gordon), Sarah Ettlich (Brian), Cody Bredin, and Brittney McGonnell, and she had four wonderful great‑grandchildren.

She is survived by her two loving sisters, Linda Escalona (Angelo) and Carol Westerdale, who shared with her a lifetime of memories, love, and laughter.

Pat adored her nieces and nephew, and she held a special place in her heart for their children. She celebrated their milestones, cherished their visits, and treasured the memories they created together.

Pat’s legacy lives on in the kindness she showed, the faith she carried, and the love she poured into every relationship. She will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her generous heart, and the way she made life brighter for all who knew her.

A Mass to honor Pat’s life will be held on Thursday, May 28th, at St. Kenneth Catholic Community, located at 14951 N Haggerty Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170. Visitation will take place from 10:00–11:00 AM, followed by Mass from 11:00 AM–12:00 PM.

While 2020-2021 restrictions were difficult, we came to really know Pat at those available outside events. She was a force of dancing energy. She is missed but her dancing will continue without restrictions!

Pat was a joy filled, loving soul. Her family, friends, dancing and her faith filled her soul. I will always treasure traveling with Pat to several of the Sabourin family reunions. A dedicated genealogy researcher, she was happy to share her successful researches with all of us. Dance with the angels my beautiful friend. You will certainly be missed.
