Nicholas Raymond Kunyckyj was born on January 6, 1984, and passed away on April 25, 2026, surrounded by loving family. Nick leaves behind his wife, Lauren Kunyckyj, age 38, their son Austin, 13, and daughter Madison, 9. Nick and Lauren would have celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary, but 18 years together in total August 30th. He also leaves behind his mother, Susan Kunyckyj, and siblings Joe Cartwright, Natalie Truitt, and Ashley Kunyckyj, along with many nieces and nephews he loved dearly. As a family, we cherished our camping trips and adventures in northern Michigan. We loved visiting Ludington, Petoskey, and Manistee—we loved spontaneous family fishing trips, and exploring nature together. Nick adored watching his kids play baseball; you could always find him in the dugout cheering them on. Nick was always out back playing catch or backyard baseball with his kids. Nick also loved being on the water, fishing with his best friend of over 25 years, Matthew Vecheta. His warm spirit, his love for his family, and his adventurous heart will be forever cherished. ◦
