Obituary For Mildred Louise Rodolosi

Mildred Louise Fox Rodolosi (aka Millie, Mumzie, Me'Me'), of Northville MI, passed into Heaven at the age of 84 on November 11, 2022. Born on June 2, 1938, Millie was the daughter of Clyde Fox and Evelyn Snyder (Fox), sister to James Fox, all who proceeded her in death. Millie is survived by her three children, Cathy Davidson, Rene Rodolosi and Eve Reed and seven grandchildren, Travis and Cody Reed, Joshua and Micaela Davidson, Leah Rodolosi, Sydney Baker, and Corey Mitchell who all miss her dearly. She was the most giving person we knew, always trying to help others, never thinking about herself. She loved her family and was beloved by all of us. She was a blessing to all who knew her.

As a baby, Millie lived with her parents in a train car in the Farmington Hills area. She spent most her childhood in Dearborn Heights, attended Roosevelt High School where she was president of student council, in the plays, and a cheerleader. She received a bachelor's degree from Eastern Michigan and was a teacher in the Livonia Public Schools where she was awarded the honor of "Teacher of the Year". She created and sponsored many clubs including dance, bicycling and coached softball.

Millie loved and was dedicated to her role as lector and sacristan at St Valentine Church and as chaplain for the Northville Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Millie was an artist, she was a creative crafter, an avid reader and she loved to journal her thoughts and prayers.

She asked that in lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice or St. Valentine Church.

Services will be held on Friday, November 25th

Condolences

Rodolosi Family, My sincere condolences to your entire family on the loss of your mother, Millie. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Please accept the following words, from a sympathy card, about losing a mother, I hope they provide a small degree of comfort during this difficult time. Millie will be missed, especially at the noon Mass, where she always held my collection basket when I received Communion. Mike Nowak - St. Val Usher, Noon Mass REMEMBERING MOM She gave the gift of laughter and dried her share of tears. She left her mark on many lucky lives throughout the years. She spread a lot of love around; she shed a world of light; and in the memories, she left behind, her spirit still shines bright. May God's gentle mercy be with you now; and know, you are not alone. May the prayers of others help in some small way - to bring you peace, comfort and courage each day. And remember, your mom will be in your memories and hearts - Forever!

I was so sad to hear of the passing of my dear high school friend . Millie was definitely a spark plug for the class of 1956 at Roosevelt High in Dearborn Township. A great friend to so many of us . Always a smile and cheering us all on . Her laugh was contagious. Always so easy to talk to ,laugh and even cry with. Millie's love and concern was a given . I treasure her friendship and will remember the wonderful woman she was . The song " Let There Be Peace on Earth and let it begin w me " would describe my friend , Millie My prayers and thoughts are with you all. Nancy Bartling Cook

We've lost another of the really good ones! The always-upbeat Millie was a treasure, and heaven is a luckier, happier place these last few days since Millie has arrived. 'Our loss' is 'heaven's gain' and it's comforting to know that we have another ally up there putting good words in God's ear for us. Many good wishes, happy thoughts, warm memories and Irish prayers are accompanying Millie on her journey home. Until we meet again, may God hold her closely in the palm of His hand. Fred McEvoy

To Millie's family, I send my prayers and condolences, and I know that she will be deeply missed by all of you. I can't say that I knew Millie very well, but as a parishoner of St. Valentine Church, I will always remember her. I will miss hearing her read at the noon mass on Sundays. She was such a good lector, and her passion for God's word came through to the parishioners in her reading, and in her dedication to being a lector, even when she needed assistance in getting to the podium. We have lost a bright light at St. Valentine, but Heaven has gained another one, as I'm sure our Risen Savior was at the gate to welcome her.
