Michael Juwan Gaitskill, age 28, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023. Michael was born on February 15, 1995, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Pamora Gaitskill and Michael Scott.

Michael was educated in the Jacksonville School District. He was strong-willed and would usually accomplish what he set out for. He worked in many industries; most would consider him a Jack-of-all-trades. He loved working on cars, doing house renovations, and aspired to have his own business one day.

Michael was funny, witty, and a pleasure to be around. He was always up for a great debate, as he was easy to talk to, yet hard to convince. Michael could put a smile on your face, he was quite a “Jokester” with a heart of gold. He would give you the shirt off his back and expect nothing in return.

Michael found great joy in being a father and enjoyed spending time with his kids. He was proud of Caiden and Amira; they were his pride and joy.

Michael was preceded in death by his loving mother, Pamora Gaitskill, they had a special relationship and he missed her dearly.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory, his children Caiden and Amira Gaitskill, their mother Nicky Bently, his father and stepmother Michael and Lisa Scott, his siblings Lynne, Patrice, Faye, Frederick, Marissa, Everyn, and Owen, his companion Jessi, and a host of cousins, family, and friends.
