Obituary For Margaret Ellen Papi

Margaret (Margie) Ellen Papi, Age 94, passed away peacefully in her Livonia, Michigan home, Monday, April 24, 2023.Margie was born in Detroit, January 22, 1929 to Albert Edward Leach & Mildred Sarah Leach. Margie grew up in Detroit with her seven siblings, of which she was the last living. Margie married Enzo F. Papi, August 12, 1950 and together they had six children. She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children. To all of her children's friends she was known as "mom". Margie was blessed with 17 grandchildren that called her "Gramma" and 46 great-grandchildren that referred to her as "Gigi". She was a dedicated member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Novi, Michigan. She was well known for her poodles and all things teddy bear. She dedicated 10 years of service to Woodhaven of Livonia Home for the Aged as a dietary aid and cook. She always had a friendly, loving smile that touched the hearts of everyone she encountered. Margie was also known for the beautiful cake decorating and her crocheted creations - especially her handmade afghans. Margie too, well known for the beautiful cakes she created for the resident's birthdays as they were celebrated each month. Ms. Papi is survived by daughters; Christina, Rebecca, Donna, Jane, Bridget and her late son, Ercole (Rick). Please visit the family, Wednesday, April 26th, 2023 at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.
