Katharine “Kathy” Mary Pease, 84, of Westland, Michigan, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Livonia, Michigan. Ms. Pease (Taraban), daughter of Henry and Mary Taraban, was born Wednesday, June 4, 1941, in Highland Park, Michigan.

Kathy was “the most selfless soul” always putting her family's needs in front of her own. She lovingly raised her children in Westland, MI and was a proud retiree of Ford Motor Company. Kathy was an animal lover and would never turn away a stray. Among the many cats and dogs she adopted over the years, she also enjoyed feeding and taking care of all the animals that would show up at her back doorstep looking for handouts, which she would never disappoint. Kathy loved spending time with her family (especially her grandchildren), shopping, taking walks outside, and painting and doing activities with her friends at American House.

Kathy is survived by her 3 children, Jeff Pease (Linda), Doug Pease, and Laura Perrine (Keith), 6 grandchildren, Ashley, Kaylee, Steven, Amanda, Sarah, and Katelyn, and 3 great grandchildren.
