Karl Lamont Green was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 20, 1972, to Gaynella Ann Green and Jimmie Williams.
He attended Osborn and Kettering High Schools. Karl was affectionately known as ‘Honey Bun’ and ‘DJ Tech3’, names given to him by friends in the hood.
At an early age, he did all kinds of work for his family and many others. In addition to working for family and friends, Karl worked as a mobile disc jockey in a variety of night clubs under the name of DJ Tech3. He was an all-around worker bee who loved helping others. Additionally, he enjoyed cleaning and caring for dogs.
In 1996, Karl and Helena came together as a couple and later wed in 2001. Their loving union spanned the course of twenty-five years. Despite its longevity, there were no children born to this union.
He was truly a humble man with much love for God, his family, and for all those who crossed his path.
Karl Lamont Green departed this earthly life on May 14, 2026. He was preceded in death by his mother: Gaynella Ann Green, father: Jimmie Williams, grandmother: Margaret Ann Green, two aunts: Rosa Lee Price and Dorothy Brown, and two uncles: Eddie Price and Julius Price.

Karl’s Final Note:
What God Loves
God looked around Heaven and saw an empty space.
He needed to gain an angel to fill that empty space.
God saw I was getting weary and that I needed a little rest.
Life had become a struggle so I had to leave because he loved me best.
My new home is in Heaven where I am surrounded by angels who will keep me close until we meet again.
Love,
Karl Lamont Green
Reflections
Karl,
Even though you are my cousin, I have always considered you to be my nephew because, I saw your mom as my sister, not my first cousin. Without a doubt, I will remember your smile and the many things you did to help me. I love you, and I will miss you.
Love, Uncle/cousin Glenn
Karl,
What makes two brothers relationship special is the way each one remembers the other, when they are apart. I will miss the talks, the laughs, and your texts of daily affirmation. Life changes, memories do not. I will miss you Karl.
Love you!
Your Brother Jason
Karl,
What I will remember most about you, is how you never failed to tell me you loved me. Forever in Our Hearts!
Love, Your Sister Kim
Karl,
I have never known life without you. Your “baby” Auntie will miss you more than you could ever know.
Love, Auntie Ebony
My dear Karl,
I will miss you and your infectious smile. You were a man of few words with a great big heart. No doubt, you fought the good fight! Rest peacefully.
Love, Auntie/cousin Jeanette
