Obituary For Jeffrey Sanders

Jeffrey Sanders, of Detroit, Michigan was born on April 4, 1960 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Albert Lee Sanders Sr.
He passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2026.
Jeffrey was educated in the Detroit Public School system. He possessed amazing scholastic abilities.
Jeffrey also developed fine work ethics beginning with his paper route as a young child on Detroit’s Eastside. Those work ethics remained with him while working various jobs including his favorite position as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Wayne County’s Parks Division for several years. Jeffrey retired early due to a life altering brain injury. He loved his job and was an excellent provider for his family.

The depth of his intellectual prowess was very profound. He could really captivate his audience no matter who it might’ve been. You would definitely be left with a lasting impression.

His sense of humor was giant. The things he came up with to poke fun at life and people in general. You would be in stitches especially when he’d be trying so hard to keep a straight face and suddenly he busted out in the heartiest screaming laughter ever.

Jeffrey loved knowledge, especially studying law and practicing it in his own right and way. From local ordinances right on up to federal laws and court procedures, that man definitely knew his stuff.

On May 19, 1992 he met his match and the love of his life. His “Elected Lady” as he would say of her. They shared many historical firsts together and were married on July 23, 1999.
But the true love of his life was his beautiful baby girl “Poo Poo” as he so affectionately called her.
She was born November 1998 to the late Pamela L. Johnson. Jeffrey maintained full custody of his most treasured jewel. He was a proud, and super protective father. She is most definitely his little mini-me.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 34 years Tiyani Z. Sanders, his darling daughter Eulisha T.R. Sanders, one brother Albert L. Sanders Jr., three dedicated sisters Patricia A. Flemister, Janet Sanders, Bridgette Floyd (Barry), and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. His absence will be deeply felt.

One last thought for those who know… How are you doing Jeffrey? His famous reply would be , “I’m TERRIBLE! But I’m hopeful!”

A “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date.

...If a man should die,

can he live again?...

Unk... I've spent the last two and a half weeks tryna figure out what to say and how to feel. Realistically Im still at a loss for words and my emotions are all over the place. My birthday will never be the same. I'd thought maybe this was some sick and twisted game life was playing with me except I found no humor in it at all. April fools in June. I can't stop the tears from flowing now as I type. Something's in life are beyond my own understanding. But in acknowledging whom God is, God has been and whom God always will be I know I'll be ok.... In my pain there is clarity, and with clarity comes peace. Much love and respect. To one of the most influential men of my village.... PEACE be still....

I am going to miss you so much, Jeffrey. Seeing you and Tiyani together, was special as you two were virtually inseparable. You had a wonderful smile and a sense of humor unlike anyone else. I'll always smile remembering how you'd reply "Terrible!" whenever asked how you were doing. 😊 I deeply appreciate all of our visits, our long talks, and especially your protective heart. Every time we parted ways, you made sure to tell us, "Put on those seatbelts and lock those doors." Thank you for being you. Rest in peace, Nephew. All my love, Aunt Odessa

My heartfelt condolences to you and your family during this time of loss. 💐💐💐It was clear how deeply Jeffery was loved from the way you spoke of him. I pray that Jehovah, "the God of all comfort," will strengthen you and give you peace. May your cherished memories and the support of loved ones help you through this difficult time. The hope found at John 5:28, 29—that we will see our loved ones again—can bring comfort even in deep grief. With love and sympathy, ❤️❤️❤️ Valeeia

Sending my condolences and prayers to to his family and friends. Jeffrey was always kind to me and shared his sense of humor to make me laugh with his famous words when I asked him how he was doing? He would say terrible, and I would lol💓RIP💌 I love you, my sister Tiyani, I will continue to keep you in my prayers for comfort and strength.💓 I pray these scriptures bring his family comfort💌 🙏🌈John 5;28 29 "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment." Revelation 21:3-5 "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: "Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." 5 And the One seated on the throne said: "Look! I am making all things new." Also he says: "Write, for these words are faithful and true."🌈Until then he is resting in peace💌 see you soon Jeffrey💓

My Brother, you were a part of my story, my memories and my life. And as your baby sister, although life took us on different journeys, the bond of brother and sister can never be broken. Today I honor your life, your strength and your laughter🤣 I am so grateful for our last two deep conversations; and that last one...the words, "Now I can appreciate that," will be with me forever! I find comfort in knowing that we loved each other, and that you are at peace. Take your rest my brother. Forever grateful!💜

My Brother Jeffery, was a very intellectual and deep thinker. He loved, to think outside of the box, rationalizing common sense verse non-sensevideas and circumstances. The end results would be a real hardy laugh, the kind that would bring tears of Joy, or maybe some wet pants. He will forever be in my heart. Love; Puddney(Janet).❤️❤️❤️
