Obituary For George Franklin Watson

George (Frank) Watson died on June 26, 2024 at the age of 71. Born August 9th, 1952 to George and Clara Watson in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from Redford Union High School and then earned a Bachelors of Business from Wayne State University. Frank worked in the shipping and receiving department at Botsford Hospital and at Tacom where he retired from. Frank loved horse races and visited many tracks over the years. He was a huge baseball fan and took many trips all over the country to see the Tigers play. Frank was a kind, generous, and gentle soul who will be missed by many. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dennis, and his survived by his sister-in-law, Lois, niece Jennifer and nephew Jason, as well as many many friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on July 20th at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy.

God Bless You "Doc" Watson. My Wife Cora and I are SAD to learn Today for the first time that You are Gone. A Good Friend since our time as Roommates in California some 40 years ago, and our frequent Fort Myers Visitor during Spring Training in Florida. We will miss Your Spring Training Visits and the Good Times that we Experienced Together in California, Florida, and Michigan.

George we used to call him Doc was a good friend. My wife Louise worked with him and we had many good times he was always invited to our events at home with many of his other friends. We enjoyed watching the Tigers games and spending Christmas together. He took care of his mother and we had that in common too. What a wonderful soul! He will be missed by so many people!
