Gary Dean Reed, age 52, of Melvindale, Michigan, passed away on June 7, 2025.

Gary was born on August 5, 1972, in Detroit, Michigan, to Gary Reed and Joan Subhan. He grew up in the Detroit area and spent his life surrounded by family, friends, and the things he loved most.

A true fan of football, Gary could always be found cheering for his favorite teams and sharing laughs with those around him. He had a remarkable talent for working on cars and could fix just about anything. Known for his sense of humor and resourceful nature, Gary was always the one you could count on for a joke, a helping hand, or a clever solution to any problem.

Gary is survived by his loving mother, Joan Subhan; his siblings William Reed, Marilyn Velez (and her husband Angel Velez), and David Reed; and his children Samantha Reed, Marcus Reed, Mariah Reed (Grand children Vicente and Rosalia Meza) and Matthew Reed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Reed.

Gary’s presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
