I worked for Fred at his successful business, Silhouette Camera, on 6 Mile in Detroit, in the 70's. I have very fond memories of his dry humor and strong business practices. That work experience helped propel my photography abilities which led to other studio work and helped fund my college degree at the University of Michigan. Thank you Fred, you were a wonderful boss!! I wish I had reached out again to him before his passing to say thank you. Best regards and rest in peace, Steve Storr, Atlanta GA, August 2025

Uncle Fred may have sounded like a mean old man, but that was just his dry sense of humor. He was a kind and caring independent person. Even though everyone said he had no family, he was part of our family and our lives. We will miss him and Aunt Hilda dearly.
