
Born the eldest son of Clarence and Amy Parker on July 28, 1948 in Lake Providence, Louisiana. He attended Detroit Public schools and earned his Associate’s degree from Detroit College of business.
Frank served in the army during the Vietnam war as a medic while traveling the world including being stationed in Germany. His contributing efforts aided in saving lives. As an industrial construction operator he helped build many local buildings including both Comerica Park and Ford Field. He retired from construction with the Michigan Laborers union in 2014.
His pursuit to entrepreneurship began at an early age when he started and managed his own paper route of which he contributed to the family household income. He moved on to own a small record shop. For many years he ran a paint and auto collision repair service out of his home garage. Also while working full-time at Chrysler and the Oakland County road commission he ran his own snow plowing company.
Frank was a devoted father and loving grandfather. He was the protector and provider for his family.
Until early 2020 he owned and continued to operate his landscaping company even into his retirement serving the greater metro Detroit area for more than 30 years.
Preceded in Frank’s death is his mother Amy, father Clarence Parker Sr., his brothers Robert Johnson, Alvin J Jones, and Leodis Parker.
He is survived by his children Frank, Autumn, James, Alex, Octavia, Ivory, and Lashawn. Including grandchildren Myles, Morgan, Paris, Melania, Lashawn, India, and Omar.
Frank leaves to cherish his memories, his sisters Daisy, Maudine, and brothers Otto, Emanuel, James, Freddie, Clarence, and Cleodis. Along with a host of beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
