Faye Anne Charette (née McFadden), aged 63, departed this earthly life and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving family in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

A Detroit native, Faye was born on December 24, 1962, to her parents Ronald and Delores (née Winokur) McFadden. The eldest daughter of their five children, Faye grew up alongside her siblings Frederick, Rhonda, Lisa and Keri.

Throughout her childhood, Faye often helped care for her younger siblings while her father, a U.S. Navy veteran, worked various jobs—including at Ford Motor Company—to provide for the family. These formative years would help develop her nurturing and self-sacrificial spirit, and the importance she would place on family throughout her life. After a brief relocation to New York, Faye and her family would return to Michigan where she would go on to attend local schools, including Cody High School in Detroit.

During her working years, Faye donned many hats including that of nanny, restaurant worker, pharmacy technician, bodybuilder, and landscaper. She would later pursue a full-time career in building maintenance and property management alongside her husband Gary, whom she married on March 18, 1993. Together, they oversaw apartment communities in Detroit, Waterford, and Westland, Michigan. Her natural ability to connect with others paired with her outgoing personality helped her to make lifelong friends wherever life took her.

Kind-hearted, selfless, and blessed with a wonderful sense of humor, Faye had a way of making anyone around her feel special. She possessed a profound appreciation for the qualities that made people and things unique, finding value and beauty where others often overlooked. At the same time, she was never one to shy away from speaking her mind, and carried within her a tenacious spirit, always willing to stand up for what she believed in.

Faye would often find joy in life's simple pleasures. An avid thrifter and garage-saler, she delighted in finding hidden treasures and things that could be repurposed–often for others. She enjoyed expressing her creativity through crafting, writing, and drawing. She loved taking care of her outdoor plants and maintaining her yard. She found peace going on nighttime drives along quiet roads with her family and possessed a deep fondness for animals and nature, reflecting the tenderness and compassion that were so much a part of who she was.

Above it all, Faye found her greatest fulfillment in being a wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a loving mother to her sons Joe and Christian, and stepmother to Rosemary and Jason, embracing the joys and responsibilities of family life in all its forms. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter and a personality that was unmistakably her own.

Faye's legacy lives on not only through the family she deeply loved but also through the countless lives she touched simply by being herself.

Faye is survived by Gary, her loving husband of 33 years; sons Christian Charette and Joe (Sarah) Zinski; stepchildren Rosemary (George) Merchant and Jason (Faith) Charette; sisters Lisa (Ali) Amine and Keri McFadden; nephews Christopher and Alexander Barbosa; niece Noel Amine, and grandchildren Annabelle, Katelyn, Joey, Juliette and Eowyn Zinski.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Delores (née Winokur) McFadden; her brother Frederick McFadden; sister Rhonda (née McFadden) Marquette; nephew Sammy Amine, and many dear friends.

At her request, no funeral service will be held. Those wishing to honor her memory are encouraged to make a donation to a local animal shelter in her name.
