
Clifford S. Askren, Jr., age 73, passed away on September 14, 2026. He was the youngest of 4, born on January 14, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan to Clifford & Delphena Askren.
Cliff is survived by his wife, Jacqueline (Jackie) Askren, daughter, Julie Luark, son, Scott Askren, stepchildren, Jeffrey (Sam) Linden, Travis (Jill) Linden, Rachael (Phil) Zakaria, and sister, Shirley (Bill) Roudebush. Grandchildren, Evan, Olivia, Matthew, Makenna, & Mila and his beloved grand-dog, Cade, along with nieces and a nephew he loved dearly.
Cliff was predeceased by his parents, his first wife, Paulette Askren, and sisters Carole (John) Shultz and Nancy Askren.
Cliff attended Thurston High School in Redford Township. He worked in the auto industry before moving into the skilled trades, ultimately starting his his own business, Askren Industries. There are kitchens, baths & remodeled homes all over the metro Detroit area that sparkle with his artistic eye for detail.
Cliff’s greatest joys were riding his Harley, creating & building anything he could imagine, the Christmas season and his family, especially his grandkids. Known for his quick wit, lack of a filter and sense of humor, he imprinted on our hearts and will be missed greatly.
