Obituary For Christopher Lee Sprader

Christopher Lee Sprader of Redford MI, passed away unexpectedly on May 1st, 2024 at the age of 33. Chris was survived by his parents; Ernest Sprader and Shari Sprader, his 4 legged furry child; Lucy Sprader, sister; Kathryn Sprader, his nieces; Sophia Sprader and Avyanna McGough, his grandparents; Ernest Sprader Sr and Shirley Sprader, Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins.

Chris spent his whole life in Redford MI, where he met all of his friends; people that he loved like family. He spent a majority of his life playing hockey. To Chris hockey was more than just a sport, it was one of the biggest parts of his life and one of his happiest life memories. During the Redwings hockey season he wouldn't miss watching a game. He loved watching all Detroit sports but hockey was his favorite. Chris always had corny jokes to tell and his laugh was contagious. He had such a vibrant soul and he loved life. He would help anyone in need, even when he couldn't help himself. Chris would not want people to be upset because he is no longer with us, he would want people to keep his memory alive with happier times.

There will be a memorial service for Chris on May 18th, 2024 from 2-5pm at Fisher Funeral Home (24501 5 Mile Rd) then a dinner to follow from 5p-11pm at the Moose, 24601 5 Mile Rd, Redford Twp.. If you plan to attend, please wear a jersey of any kind. Chris would want everyone to be comfortable and wear something representing Detroit.

We were fortunate to have known Chris through our Hockey Family...the Redford Wolfpack. Many good times and excitement came from watching those young men grow and mold as a team. As the team manager, each of those young men were and are special to me, Chris was no exception. May he rest peacefully, in God's kingdom, and may the Sprader family find healing, peace, and comfort not only now, during such a difficult time, but also in the days to come. Keep the memories that were made, close at heart, he will forever be with you. Our deepest condolences 🙏 The Pearson Family Myra Pearson

I have no words. The world seems a little less bright without you in it. To the Sprader family: may your grief end quickly and your memories last forever.

Our prayers and condolences to your family, and to the sooo many friends that Chris had throughout his life; he touched so many people from childhood on. May your happy memories bring you some peace during this challenging time. He was a big part of my family from way back. I know that there isn't anything I can say that will ease your pain. Just know that my family shares in your sadness. Chris will be loved and remembered. Forever in our hearts 💕

Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
