Arthur Lee Ford Sr. affectionately known as "Butch' was 70 years old when he made his transition. He was born on November 25, 1950 in Detroit, MI to Nelson Lee and Ruth Belle Ford. That union resulted in six children, Janie, Margarite, Juanita, Nelson and Robert who all preceded him in death.

Butch graduated from Kettering High School in 1969. He worked for General Motors for a short time. He was a laborer for many years.

Butch was a loving husband to the late Ann Ford, who preceded him in death. Their union resulted in two children Arletha and Arthur Jr. He was also the step-father to Anthony, Marcus and Paula. Butch has three children from a previous marriage, Annette Anita and Tiffani.

On may 19, 1997, Butch was severely injured in a motor vehicle accident, which left him wheelchair bound. Despite his injuries, he was able to live a comfortable life thereafter.

Butch leaves to cherish his memory, his five children; Annette ( Derrick Sr.), Anita, Tiffani ( Jamar), Arletha, Arthur Jr., his step-children; Marcus (Shon), Anthony (Veronica), and Paula. Thirteen Grandchildren; Ah'Janae', Keith (who proceeded him in death), Derrick Jr., Kira, Arthur III, Aziza, Anthony III, Aaron, Alexander, Jayda, Keshon, Diallo and Aeshia. Along with a host of neices, nephews, other family and many friends.

    My sincere condolences to the family of Arthur (Butch) Ford. He was a loving uncle and friend and will be dearly missed as the last of my Mother Janie Belle Aycox's living siblings. Rest well Uncle Butch, your niece Sonya (Tootsie).
