Obituaries

Arthur Edgar Pederson Jr. 76, of White Lake (formerly North Branch) MI passed away peacefully at DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital surrounded by his family and dear friends.
He graduated from North Branch (Class of 1967) and then received additional training to be part of successful machinist and development projects. He has always been proud of his involvement in The Masons. Later in life he earned his nursing degree and thrived in a direct care opportunity at Adrian Prison. He later left this position to be able to be more actively involved in special education endeavors in and out of the classroom. He quickly received a national award for his commitment in advancing home school options and inclusive programs for children with special needs and the best dancer award during a Grandfather/Granddaughter dance with Lauren. He enjoyed extensive traveling which included golfing trips, fishing, and watching birds with the love of his life.

Arthur is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Stevens); his children, Holly (Matthew Roach), Drs Heather (John Roebuck), Heidi (Gary Wenzel), and Arthur Pederson III (Jaime Schmidt). Additionally, his brothers Ray (Kathy), Dale (Mary), and his sisters Margaret (Eric), and Lucille. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur Pederson Sr and Sara (Morse) as well as his brothers John & Walter, his sister Sally, and his great granddaughter Valarie Bruce.

Pastor Charlie Martin will lead a celebration of life service at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church: 1550 Walton Blvd, Rochester Hills, MI 48309 (248)-651-6550 on April 5, 2024 @ 11:00 am with catered luncheon to follow.
