I was just a neighbor, but occasionally I would catch her leaving her driveway, and we'd talk for a minute. I also used to watch the parade in front of her house (with her invitation, of course). I haven't seen her this spring, and now, sadly, I know why. Mike Golip

I have so many wonderful memories. I think the most memorable one is spending New Year's Eve with her. And because it was a special occasion she would let us eat pizza in the living room while we watched the Lawrence Welk show and waited for the New Year. Then she would let us bang pots and pans together on the porch at midnight. I remember going with her and Happy to Hudson's at Northland mall all of the time. During the holidays she would take us to see Santa there. When I took ice skating lessons she came to watch, she even made one of my costumes, it was beautiful. Every Memorial Day the whole family would go to her house for the parade and a barbecue. She had the coolest basement, when she had family parties we were able to pretend we were waitresses and it was so fun! She had the best toys that we got to play with when we were there G.I Joe, Bionic Man and the jeep! She was a huge part of my childhood and for that I am grateful. When I got older and moved away we didn't see each other as much but we still talked on the phone, sometimes for hours. I'm going to miss that so much. Anne was a wonderful Grandma and she was always there for me throughout my life. Anne never forgot a family member's birthday either, she would always send a birthday card! I love her and will truly miss her.
