Amanda Chane'e Eaddy was born February 9, 1990 to Grady and Vickie Eaddy. Amanda was the youngest of two children. She attended Detroit Public Schools and graduated from Charles R. Drew Transition Center with a certificate of completion in 2016.

Amanda gave her family the gift of unconditional love and beauty. When some people looked at her, they may have seen things that could not do-but that's not what her family saw, and that's not who she was. When her mother, father and brother looked at her, they seldom saw what she could not do. No, they saw the many things she could do. She could smile. She could laugh. She could feel unbridled happiness. She could show her love without ever saying a word.

Amanda worked hard to overcome her own challenges. She communicated through sight and motion. She attended Twelfth Street Missionary Baptist Church, where she wheeled herself up to the front of church to give herself to the Lord and be baptized. She was good with assisting her mother with cooking and putting together large puzzle pieces. She took joy in simple things- joy in seeing her family, going to school, watching her favorite TV shows, watching boats and ships on the Detroit Riverwalk, and going on outings.

Amanda loved sports and shared that love with her father. Whether it was going to watch a hockey, baseball or football game - Amanda enjoyed being entertained. She will always be remembered for being a beautiful gift to her family.

Amanda is survived by her Father Grady Eaddy and Brother Grady Eaddy Jr., nine aunts, 15 uncles a host of cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her Mother Vickie Eaddy, grandparents James B and Mable P. Eaddy, James M. and Amanda M. Davis.
