Alfreda Loving was born November 18, 1955, In Detroit, MI. The second oldest child of the late Fred Lee and Ailean Loving. God decided that her mission on earth was fulfilled July 13, 2022 at the age of 66.

Alfreda accepted the Lord as her savior at an early age, durning her childhood she was baptized and a member of Dexter Avenue Baptist Church. Alfreda graduated from McKenzie High School in 1974. In 1978 she began working for Frito Lay Corp, where she retired in 2018. In 1984 Alfreda was united in holy matrimony to James Coggins.

Although Alfreda was quiet in nature, she had a big personality that greeted everyone with a side eye and a smile. She was a great mother to Brian Loving which preceded her in death in 1994, a loving Aunt, and Sister.

She leaves to mourn her memory: Two sisters, Vickilean Williams (Dennis) of Southfield, MI, and Bernice Loving, of Detroit, MI. One brother, Jerome Loving of Detroit, MI and Dennis Loving (preceded her in death), Two nieces, Toy Sanders (Kevin) and Dejanae Smith. Four Nephew’s, Andre Booker, Aaron Booker, Deonte Smith and De’Marion. Along with 3 great nephews Jaden, Elias and Major. Two great nieces Brianna and Bailey.

Sometimes it’s hard to understand and harder stir to say, They will be done when sorrow comes and sadness fills our day. But faith was meant for times like these and if we take God’s hand, with loving wisdom He will help our hearts to understand. -Vicki

Another one of my buddies even as my Aunty! There is not another person that can have the bond you and I shared. Always enjoying our ride along moments and our conversations. I’m definitely going to miss those words “Well hi to you too” lol..but for sure I’m going to miss you, Love you, RIH-Aaron
